Handtmann Maschinenfabrik has reached another important milestone:
On March 25, 2026, the certificates for quality management according to ISO 9001, environmental management according to ISO 14001, and energy management according to ISO 50001 were officially issued. The certification was carried out by the accredited certification body TÜV NORD Austria and confirms the successful implementation of an integrated management system.
Background and Objectives
The certification was a logical response to increasing customer demands, growing regulatory requirements, and our own commitment to structured, transparent, and efficient processes.
Since 2024, existing procedures at the site have been systematically analyzed, documented, and aligned. The goal was to clearly structure the processes and align them sustainably with international standards.
Certification Process
A key milestone in the audit process was the Stage 1 audit in November 2025, during which the site’s readiness for certification was assessed. The auditors confirmed a high level of preparedness and approved the transition to the main certification phase.
The certification audit (Stage 2) was conducted in January 2026. Over several days, the auditors assessed the relevant processes on-site, including interviews with employees and the review of practical procedures in administration and production. They found a very high level of implementation and a clear integration of management requirements into day-to-day operations.
Recognition and Significance
With the successful issuance of the certificates, the machine factory has been officially recognized as compliant with the international requirements of the three standards.
The certifications underscore the company’s long-term commitment to quality, environmental protection, and energy efficiency, and provide a solid foundation for continuous improvement.
